About
Founder Steve L. Kasha shares a little of his life changing story that prompted him to start SERV:
“I was in the middle of the jungle, eight hours up the Orinoco river and a day and a half away from any major population when I tripped and fell face-to-face with one of the deadliest snakes in Venezuela, the Brown Four-Nose. As the snake rears and prepares to strike me, I see my entire life flash before me and think, "Well this is it!" Just before the moment of certain death, an elderly tribesman clubbed the snake with a piece of sugarcane and saved my life. Through this traumatic event God claimed me as his own, and I realized at that moment that my life was not my own, but my choices were. I felt God impressing on me that if I would trust Him and seek His face, he would provide for all my needs."
Steve felt God place an undeniable burden on his heart to seek out and serve the widows, orphans and the "least of these”, and in response he founded SERV International in 2000.
Today, serving God by serving others is the driving force behind the work of SERV International. This is accomplished through large-scale food distribution, providing clean water and offering refuge to orphan children through various projects and donation opportunities.
We encourage you to view our current and ongoing projects, and see how you can get involved!
Projects
SERV 1 Feed 1
By distributing a dehydrated food product, fortified with vitamins, soy protein and nutrients, the SERV 1 Feed 1 program has provided more than 5 million nutritious meals to people in Kenya and over 1 million meals to people in Dominican Republic. One 8 ounce serving meet the nutritional needs of a person in a third-world country for a day. For only 5 cents, you can nourish a person for an entire day! Or, feed 100 people for $5!

House Of Hope
The House of Hope is a total-care orphanage, owned and operated by SERV International. Home to 40 children, the House of Hope offers food, clean water, clothing, shelter, an education, medical care and spiritual development to children who have lost their parents due to extreme living situations in the region. Find out how you, too, can provide hope by sponsoring a child today!

Safe 2 SERV
Did you know that the world’s second biggest killer of children is together, unclean water and poor sanitation? Close to half of all people in developing countries suffer, at any given time, from a health problem caused by water and sanitation deficits. The Safe 2 SERV project is a new initiative currently deploying up to 100 water filtration systems annually throughout the world. A $65 one-time gift can provide water for a family of 5 for 10 years!

Travel
Want to make life change personal? Not only does SERV offer you the opportunity to change lives by donating or sponsoring a child, we also offer opportunities to get into the action! With our extreme trips to Kenya and the Dominican Republic, participants can discover how change of pace plus change of place equals life change. Teams take part in projects such as building houses for widows, distributing food to entire communities, installing water filtration systems and building and investing in new relationships.
